Rural Candidates. Rural Progress.
Welcome to The TEAM. We're an informal collaborative focused on three main needs for rural candidates: information/resource sharing, volunteer recruitment, and fundraising support. For too long, our rural communities and communities outside of the affluent communities in St. Louis and Kansas City have been written off and ignored. As candidates working in these regions, we have seen firsthand the need for a network of support. Existing structure allows for a trickle-down approach, but as products of rural Missouri we know that real growth begins with solid roots.

Founding Members: Elad Gross, Candidate for Missouri Attorney General; Kathy Ellis, Candidate for US Congress in MO-08; Lindsey Simmons, Candidate for US Congress in MO-04; Dennis Oglesby, Candidate for US Congress in MO-03; and their respective teams.
Statement of Values: As candidates and leaders in our state, we are committed to investing in communities that have often been overlooked or disenfranchised from democracy. We commit to working together to elevate issues, events, and information among community leaders, advocates and the people of Missouri and we exist to support other efforts in fighting for a democracy that works for everyone, not just the wealthy, powerful, and urban/suburban.
What We Do: We know that our rural areas have been ignored, and it's time to change that. We're 23+ rural candidates from across Missouri who are committed to supporting one another and elevating rural issues. Specifically, we: have a shared Facebook group where campaigns can post important events and volunteer opportunities; have regular calls to help work through issues other campaigns are facing; will work together on volunteer opportunities, such as phone banks and canvasses; host Rural Weeks of Action throughout the campaign cycle; and more!
